This attachment is designed for tree transplanting operations in landscaping, nurseries, and municipal greening projects. It mounts onto skid steer loaders and enables the mechanical excavation and lifting of small to medium‑sized trees with minimal root disturbance.
Operation principle – The spade is controlled via a remote switch. The four curved jaws are lowered into the ground and penetrate the soil around the root ball. After full insertion, the jaws are closed beneath the surface to form a cone‑shaped enclosure around the root system. The skid steer’s lift arm is then used to raise the entire tree together with its root ball. Alternatively, the same attachment can be used to pre‑dig planting holes before transferring trees into them.
Compatibility and limitations – This model is optimized for compact skid steer loaders and is also compatible with most competing small‑frame machines. It is intended for trees with trunk diameters up to 100 mm. Due to its structural and weight design, it is not suitable for larger trees with thicker trunks.
Key specifications (Model WT050336)
